Co-Headlining Show with Elise Testone at the Brooklyn Bowl!

Singer/songwriter and American Idol finalist Elise Testone along with Hayley Jane and The Primates will co-headline a very special night of original music at Brooklyn Bowl on Wednesday, July 6 with proceeds to benefit Sanctuary For Families,  a leading advocacy group devoted to victims of domestic and gender violence.

Testone will bring her original blend of funk, rock, and soul and will be accompanied by Adam Fallen (guitar, Skyler Grey), Antoine Katz (bass, Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles), Sydney Driver (drums, Rhythm & Stealth), Trey Cooper (keys), Nicole Zuraitis (bgv), and some very special guests.

A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales for this show will be donated to Sanctuary For Families, New York’s leading service provider and advocate for survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and related forms of gender violence. Every year, Sanctuary empowers thousands of adults and children to move from fear and abuse to safety and stability, transforming lives through legal and clinical services, economic empowerment support, shelter and programming for children and youth. For more information on Sanctuary For Families visit their website.

Doors will open at 6pm, tickets are $11, and are available here.

Hayley Jane Joins P Groove and Al from moe.

On Friday and Saturday nights, Perpetual Groove returned to what has become their home venue in New York City, Brooklyn Bowl. The band treated the NYC faithful to a pair of shows that featured plenty of old favorites and interesting cover choices as well as an impressive new original. PGroove was also joined by vocalist Hayley Jane and moe. guitarist Al Schnier for a disco era hit on Saturday night.

Hayley Jane and Al’s guest spot took place towards the middle of the second set on Saturday. The pair helped out on a well-jammed cover of KC & The Sunshine Band’s “Get Down Tonight.”

Songs of Their Own. Hayley Jane & Todd Stoops

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead, JamBase teamed with Telefunken to produce the Songs Of Their Own 50-day tribute series featuring a daily cover of a Grateful Dead original song. Our grand finale 50th video, a Playing For Change Songs Around The World rendition of “Ripple,” will premiere the day of the final Fare Thee Well show in Chicago on July 5. With a focus solely on Grateful Dead original songs, we asked many of our favorite artists to record cover versions at the JamBase office in San Francisco, at one of the many venues around the Bay Area, at Telefunken’s Connecticut studios and beyond. No song was allowed to be covered twice, and today’s participants Todd Stoops & Hayley Jane fell on “Crazy Fingers.”
